Stephanie Lehr's Senior Portraits

Stephanie and her dad, Chris, and sister, Cassie, came from Meade, Kansas recently for her senior session. We started in the studio to feature her love of playing guitar and rock music. Stephanie is also a talented artist so we incorporated in her drawing pad too! I enjoyed this session very much! Here's a few to take a peek at.

Brooke Pritchett's Senior Portraits

I really enjoyed photographing Brooke Pritchett from Derby High School! I have to say, I was a little jealous of those long legs! We had a great time and it was fun to see her mom, Julie again. I first worked with this family 2 years ago when Brooke's brother, Chase, was a senior! Thank you Brooke! I hope you are pleased!

ChristenBuller & Eric Schulz's Wedding Day

Christen and Eric were married at Plymouth Congregational Church a few weeks ago. I absolutely loved the beautiful rich fall colors in her flowers, and Christen was so beautiful in her breathtaking gown. Her bridal shoes were her traditional "something blue" and matched the maids gowns perfectly! We all had our fingers crossed for the rain to hold off, but it decided to pour just about the time we were leaving in the limo. We did manage a few quick pictures under the umberellas she brought, and quickly forgot any disappointment from those raindrops as soon as we arrived at the Petroleum Club where the fun soon clicked into high gear! After they honeymooned in the Bahamas, we returned to the park downtown for a few photos of the couple on a sunny day. Congratulations Christen & Eric!

Makenzie Koehn's Senior Portraits

I'm so excited to make this quick video clip of a few shots of Makenzie Koehn at her recent senior session! Makenzie came all the way from Dodge City, Kansas with her mom Michelle, and grandma Mary Jane - and a whole SUV full of fantastic clothes! We started at 4:00 and continued at Eastborough Park till it was too dark to take anymore! Thank you Makenzie for being such a great model! I had way too much fun!

Peter Bergkamp's Senior Portraits

Peter's photo session was a nice chance to see his mom Kathleen again after first photographing his sister Ellen 2 years ago. We started downtown, then ended up at their home in the country. I loved having all of the options with the barn, horses, and his beloved dog, Scout. Peter is a polite, genuine guy. Taking his portrait was truly enjoyable.

Luke Leatherman's Senior Portraits

Fun, fun, fun describes my photo session with Luke! We found some great places to stop here and there in Delaware including the old train depot and railroad track. The fall leaves are so beautiful right now that we decided to take a few outside in the park which were such a great contrast with his dark jacket against those beautiful orange hues. I kept wanting to take serious poses but Luke's mom, Annette, said that she wanted him smiling. It didn't take me long to realize that he's such a great friendly guy, and that smile of his says it best!

Sharon Gonzalez' Senior Portraits

I met Sharon a couple of weeks ago in Old Town after their long drive from Hugoton, Kansas for our senior session. She had her brother, mom, and boyfriend along and they were a very fun group to work with! Sharon had great clothes from Buckle and was a quick-change artist between outfits. We ended up going to Bradley Fair for her dressy looks just as the sun was going down. Thanks for coming all the way to Wichita, Sharon!

Amy Franken's Senior Portraits

Amy was a delight to work with! She had fun clothes, and we spent some time at Botanica as well as Old Town for a great variety. Hope you like what you see so far, Amy! There's more to come!

Preston Kolbeck's Senior Portraits

Preston was a great kid and very polite! His mom Tammy had warned me he wasn't whole heartedly into having his pictures taken but he actually got into it once we got going!
Hope you like the results Preston! Thanks for making it a fun session!

Kara Albrecht & Justin Ballinger's Wedding Day

Wow, this was truly one of my favorite weddings in a long time! I had the opportunity to meet and photograph Kara and Justin last spring for their engagement portraits, but they live in Texas so I've worked mostly with Kara's wonderful mom, Kathleen! We've had several delightful conversations over the months of planning and they made me feel like family by the time the wedding day was here! Kara was stunning in her gown. Moore Flowers created amazing bouquets, and the bridesmaids were all such beautiful girls! The 3 precious flowergirls were all cousins of the bride and definately stole the show! They were all mesmerized just watching Kara, and so adorable walking down the aisle at St. Catherines Church hand-in-hand in their little pink dresses and matching ballerina slippers. After the ceremony, the couple left the church in a shower of rose petals to a waiting trolley. We went to a park downtown for more photos before heading to the Petroleum Club dinner reception. I enjoyed seeing many past clients among the guests, and everyone undoubtedly had a fantastic evening of dancing and fun. Congratulations Kara and Justin!

Emily Voran's Senior Portraits

I had so much fun photographing Emily Voran for her senior portraits. She came to Wichita from Rago, KS a week or so ago on a hot afternoon. The wind faked us out for a little bit and we almost thought of re-scheduling, but it turned out to be a great day for the shoot! Emily is a great girl and I enjoyed learning more about the many sports and other activities that keep her very busy! Her 2 sisters and mom Rita were along with us, And the 3girls had a little fun together too! Great clothes and a great smile made for the perfect senior shoot! Thanks Emily!

Jessica and Jacob's Engagement

I met with Jessica and Jacob last week to photograph their engagement session. Even though it was a very hot day, we had a great time and perfect lighting! This is just a sneak peek with lots more to come soon!

Jacquie Elliott and Chris Dick's Wedding Day

It was such a joy to be part of Jacquie's wedding! I have known her since she was in middle school with my daughter, Jena, and seeing Jacquie mature into such a beautiful sweet young woman and find an incredible partner is so wonderful! Grace Presbyterian Church was the site of this special union on July 23rd. The bridesmaids wore beautiful purple tea-length gowns. There was ongoing debate as to whether this represented K-State (where Jacquie attended for part of her college career), or the Colorado Rockies (of which Chris is a huge fan)! In any event, it made for a beautiful wedding and the gorgeous bouquets designed by Susans were the perfect accent. Jacquie's longtime pastor and Chris's uncle both officiated. After the ceremony, they were sent off through celebration bubbles to a waiting limo. We made a brief stop at Eastborough Park for some special photos, then on to Crestview Country Club for a fun evening which included a delicious buffet, special toasts from the couple's siblings, and dancing. After a stay at the Hyatt, they were off to Jamaica for the honeymoon. Congratulations Jacquie & Chris! I'm so happy for you both!

Kaylyn Marko & Nathan Gaulin's Wedding Day

July 16, 2011 was another one of those 100+ degree days, but that didn't put a damper on the festivities at Botanica as Kaylyn Marko and Nathan Gaulin were preparing to marry. Kaylyn was stunning in her beautiful gown and the bridesmaid's dynamic royal blue dresses were stunning with the gorgeous yellow bouquets. Nathan and his party got dressed in the cottage close to the south lawn where the ceremony took place. Dad George got a bit choked up as he saw Kaylyn making her way down the path to meet up with him for a walk down the aisle. The ceremony was full of love and emotion (although Tanner decided it was the perfect setting for a little nap!) It was a full house at the reception. After a delicious meal and first dance by the couple, Kaylyn & her dad surprised everyone with a delightful dance routine that got the festivities into full swing. A fun day for a great couple!

Tad and Jaima Nicholson's Wedding Day

Jaima McGuire and Tad Nicholson are an awesome couple! I just loved working with them! I first met Jaima at Sara Newby Dugan's wedding a couple of years ago and was thrilled when she called to say she was engaged! We got together last fall at Bartlett Arboretum in Belle Plaine for their engagement portraits and it was a delight to photograph these two! They are so happy and perfect for each other! No posing needed! The wedding day was just as easy. I didn't detect any nerves or jitters. Everyone was all smiles despite the wind outside! They were married at the beautiful catholic church in St. Marks on May 7th. The reception followed with a delicious buffet, toasts, bouquet and garter tosses, and then fun dancing into the evening. A perfect day for a sweet couple!

Jess and Shelby Cummings' Wedding Day

Sunday May 1st was the wedding day of Jessica Shelburg and Shelby Cummings. They got ready at the Hyatt Hotel. Jessica chose a beautiful shirred satin fitted gown in which she looked absolutely stunning! Shelby met Jessica in the hotel room for their first moment, followed by some portraits in the foyer and grand hallway before going to a part area downtown for some outdoor portraits. The ceremony was held on the west veranda of the Boathouse. Daughter Dylan was a big part of the day including the ceremony. Single carnations were tossed by the guests as the couple exited down the aisle! The reception included a delicious italian buffet, with cake, champagne, and dancing till after sunset. A beautiful wedding indeed!

James and Amanda's Engagement Portraits

I really enjoyed the engagement portrait sesion of James and Amanda. They are actually getting married in Jamaica but wanted some engagement portraits here. We met downtown and they had some fun ideas they shared which we incorporated in. I think we all had a blast doing this session. This couple has been together over 10 years, and it was so neat to see how in love they are! Being so comfortable with each other made my job easy! Congratulations James and Amanda! P.S. I still think you should take me along to Jamaica!!!

Felicia and Andrew Harwell's Wedding Day

I was so excited when Felicia asked me to photograph her wedding to Andrew on 4/30/11. I have had the pleasure of working with her family before - both for sister Megan's wedding and brother Cale's wedding. The bridesmaid gowns were a beautiful eggplant color and the gorgeous flowers were all designed by sister-in-law Renee, who is a very talented florist.
I loved the bright green and purples in the bouquets! Felicia was stunning in her beautiful halter-style gown as she walked down the aisle with her dad to greet Andrew at the altar. After the ceremony, the wedding party enjoyed a fun ride in the trolley to a short photo session at Andover's park before arriving at Terradyne for an evening of celebration, food, fun, and dancing. Congratulations Felicia and Andrew, and thank you!

Waiting for Callie

It was so exciting to get together with Kristin and Phil Van Court a few weeks ago at Botanica to photograph them before the arrival of baby Callie! They are definately up there at the top of my most favorite couples list! I first photographed them for their engagement and wedding a few years ago! For this session, Kristin looked glowing and beautiful as usual, and Phil could hardly contain his excitement. Now Sneebie....that's another story. I think he knew something was up and just had a feeling he was going to be moved over and replaced by a precious little princess because he was less than enthusiastic about our photo session! I look forward to photographing Callie as she grows. And yes, Sneebie, I'm sure we'll be including you in the photos too!

Elizabeth and Matt Vos Wedding Day

April 9th was a windy but beautiful day for Elizabeth and Matt to be married. We started the day at Wichita Country Club where Elizabeth was surrounded by her bridesmaids, mom, and Matt's mom to get dressed. The fragrant beautiful bouquets designed by JR Koontz were breathtaking. Matt arrived with his attendants in time to have a brief private moment with Elizabeth before we started the photos. The family joined us for some formal portraits before heading to the church in a Rolls Royce. The church was adorned with beautiful aisle bouquets and altar arrangements. After a touching ceremony, the couple was showered with petals as they made their way through the crowd. After a few minutes of photos on the golf course, we headed into the club for the reception festivities. Thank you Elizabeth and Matt for letting me be a part of your special day!

Ava Long's Senior Portraits

I recently met with Ava Long and her mom in Old Town for senior portraits. I originally met them a couple of years ago when I was photographing Ava's sister, Samantha when she was a senior. Its quite obvious they are sisters with both having such beautiful long hair! Ava also has a great sense of style with many cute outfits we had to work with. Congratulations Ava!

Austin Southards Senior Portraits

I photographed Austin's sister Ashley in 2009 and was happy to hear from the Southards to photograph Austin this year. Austin had a nice car, great clothes, and was so friendly and easy to work with! I had a great time Austin! Congratulations!

Robb & Nichole Flannery's Wedding Day

March 26, 2011 was a very special day for the Flannery family at Bent Tree Golf Course in Columbus, Ohio. I was so fortunate to photograph this beautiful wedding along with my sister & brother-in-law. Both Nichole and Robb were a little nervous before the ceremony, but going outside before the wedding to photograph them seperately with their attendants got their minds off of things with those beautiful sleeveless gowns the girls were wearing in the fridged cold! The ceremony was emotional for everyone in the room and an immense amount of love filled the air. A cocktail hour followed while we finished up the family portraits, then everyone enjoyed a delicious buffet. There wasn't a dry eye during the toasting festivities as the deep friendships this couple has with so many was evident. A lovely first dance, followed by Nichole and her dad, then Robbie and his sweet mom's emotional dance preceeded a fun evening of celebration! This wedding spoke to my heart in a way that no other has. So much support and love abounds! I know this couple will do just fine! Thanks for letting me be a part of it.
