Jess and Shelby Cummings' Wedding Day

Sunday May 1st was the wedding day of Jessica Shelburg and Shelby Cummings. They got ready at the Hyatt Hotel. Jessica chose a beautiful shirred satin fitted gown in which she looked absolutely stunning! Shelby met Jessica in the hotel room for their first moment, followed by some portraits in the foyer and grand hallway before going to a part area downtown for some outdoor portraits. The ceremony was held on the west veranda of the Boathouse. Daughter Dylan was a big part of the day including the ceremony. Single carnations were tossed by the guests as the couple exited down the aisle! The reception included a delicious italian buffet, with cake, champagne, and dancing till after sunset. A beautiful wedding indeed!

James and Amanda's Engagement Portraits

I really enjoyed the engagement portrait sesion of James and Amanda. They are actually getting married in Jamaica but wanted some engagement portraits here. We met downtown and they had some fun ideas they shared which we incorporated in. I think we all had a blast doing this session. This couple has been together over 10 years, and it was so neat to see how in love they are! Being so comfortable with each other made my job easy! Congratulations James and Amanda! P.S. I still think you should take me along to Jamaica!!!

Felicia and Andrew Harwell's Wedding Day

I was so excited when Felicia asked me to photograph her wedding to Andrew on 4/30/11. I have had the pleasure of working with her family before - both for sister Megan's wedding and brother Cale's wedding. The bridesmaid gowns were a beautiful eggplant color and the gorgeous flowers were all designed by sister-in-law Renee, who is a very talented florist.
I loved the bright green and purples in the bouquets! Felicia was stunning in her beautiful halter-style gown as she walked down the aisle with her dad to greet Andrew at the altar. After the ceremony, the wedding party enjoyed a fun ride in the trolley to a short photo session at Andover's park before arriving at Terradyne for an evening of celebration, food, fun, and dancing. Congratulations Felicia and Andrew, and thank you!

Waiting for Callie

It was so exciting to get together with Kristin and Phil Van Court a few weeks ago at Botanica to photograph them before the arrival of baby Callie! They are definately up there at the top of my most favorite couples list! I first photographed them for their engagement and wedding a few years ago! For this session, Kristin looked glowing and beautiful as usual, and Phil could hardly contain his excitement. Now Sneebie....that's another story. I think he knew something was up and just had a feeling he was going to be moved over and replaced by a precious little princess because he was less than enthusiastic about our photo session! I look forward to photographing Callie as she grows. And yes, Sneebie, I'm sure we'll be including you in the photos too!

Elizabeth and Matt Vos Wedding Day

April 9th was a windy but beautiful day for Elizabeth and Matt to be married. We started the day at Wichita Country Club where Elizabeth was surrounded by her bridesmaids, mom, and Matt's mom to get dressed. The fragrant beautiful bouquets designed by JR Koontz were breathtaking. Matt arrived with his attendants in time to have a brief private moment with Elizabeth before we started the photos. The family joined us for some formal portraits before heading to the church in a Rolls Royce. The church was adorned with beautiful aisle bouquets and altar arrangements. After a touching ceremony, the couple was showered with petals as they made their way through the crowd. After a few minutes of photos on the golf course, we headed into the club for the reception festivities. Thank you Elizabeth and Matt for letting me be a part of your special day!

Ava Long's Senior Portraits

I recently met with Ava Long and her mom in Old Town for senior portraits. I originally met them a couple of years ago when I was photographing Ava's sister, Samantha when she was a senior. Its quite obvious they are sisters with both having such beautiful long hair! Ava also has a great sense of style with many cute outfits we had to work with. Congratulations Ava!

Austin Southards Senior Portraits

I photographed Austin's sister Ashley in 2009 and was happy to hear from the Southards to photograph Austin this year. Austin had a nice car, great clothes, and was so friendly and easy to work with! I had a great time Austin! Congratulations!

Robb & Nichole Flannery's Wedding Day

March 26, 2011 was a very special day for the Flannery family at Bent Tree Golf Course in Columbus, Ohio. I was so fortunate to photograph this beautiful wedding along with my sister & brother-in-law. Both Nichole and Robb were a little nervous before the ceremony, but going outside before the wedding to photograph them seperately with their attendants got their minds off of things with those beautiful sleeveless gowns the girls were wearing in the fridged cold! The ceremony was emotional for everyone in the room and an immense amount of love filled the air. A cocktail hour followed while we finished up the family portraits, then everyone enjoyed a delicious buffet. There wasn't a dry eye during the toasting festivities as the deep friendships this couple has with so many was evident. A lovely first dance, followed by Nichole and her dad, then Robbie and his sweet mom's emotional dance preceeded a fun evening of celebration! This wedding spoke to my heart in a way that no other has. So much support and love abounds! I know this couple will do just fine! Thanks for letting me be a part of it.
