Olivia Heap & Alex Winkfield's Wedding Day

December 11 was the wedding day of Alex Winkfield and Olivia Heap in Columbus, Ohio. It was cold outside, but the church was full of love and warmth the moment you entered. I have been so blessed to get to know this sweet couple. Olivia and her mom are so creative and made the programs, flowers, and reception decorations. As a special treat, her grandfather played piano for the prelude music. After the ceremony, we went to the Jessing Center which had beautiful grounds for some outdoor shots before the reception. They had a wonderful buffet dinner and dancing, then it was off to a wonderful honeymoon to Mexico! - Totally planned by Alex and a surprise to Olivia! Here's sneak peek of the day's festivities. Congratulations Alex and Olivia!

Elizabeth and Matthew's Engagement

I met Elizabeth and Matthew at her home last Sunday afternoon. It was a perfect day for engagement pictures and we found more than enough great places for their session right there at her home. After a very short time, I knew this couple was perfect for each other. They were so comfortable together and easy to photograph. I'm looking forward to documenting their wedding day next spring! Congratulations Elizabeth and Matthew!

Jaima and Tad's Engagement

Jaima and Tad chose the Bartlett Arborebum for their engagement session. It was spectacular, as always! Robin does an amazing job of keeping the grounds so beautiful. I love the fall colors and of course, I had absolutely beautiful people to photograph! Congratulations Jaima and Tad!

Marie and Dusty Rausch's Wedding

Marie and Dusty's wedding was absolutely beautiful! I have really enjoyed getting to know this couple over the past year and a half and am so happy to have been a part of their day. The love that these two share made my job so easy in the engagement shoot, and the wedding day. The weather was perfect and I always love photographing at the Cathedral with Father Sherlock. We had a great time after the wedding taking a trolley ride to Naftzger Park and Old Town. The festivities went well into the night with lots of food, fun, and dancing at Petroleum Club. Congratulations to you both!

Chelsie and Nick's Wedding Day

Chelsie and Nick had a beautiful wedding September 25th at the Grand Chapel. The beautiful deep purple hues in the flowers were so vibrant against the black gowns the bridesmaids wore. I love the beautiful staircase for portraits of Chelsie just before she met Nick before the days activities began. We went to Riverside Park for some portraits of the couple just before the ceremony under billowing clouds that broke through with rain just as we were returning to the chapel. After the ceremony, the wedding party delighted the guests with an impromptu dance number complete with sunglasses! A fun reception continued into the evening with emotional toasts and more dancing. Congratulations to you both!

Halle Suderman's Senior Portraits

I met Halle for our session at North High where she is a very busy senior! She is on the cross country team, the dance team, track, and plays the violin. After capturing her school spirit in her dance uniform and letter jacket, we went to Bradley Fair where she had some great outfits to work with. A small pond on the east side was the perfect setting for a portrait with her violin, then we finished with some quick candids at sunset. Thanks Halle! I had a great time!

Lindsay Suderman and A.J. Smith

Friday evening was perfect for a beautiful wedding at Fulton Farms in Towanda and I was there to capture the day for Lindsay and A.J. Lindsay's three sisters were bridesmaids along with two of her closest friends. They wore beautiful chocolate brown strapless dresses that made the perfect backdrop for the gorgeous virbrant fall bouquets they carried. Lots of family were there to share in the festivities and I could just feel the love and support they all had for this sweet couple. Just before sunset, Lindsay's grandfather delivered the vows along with the couple's own pastor. The barn filled with lanterns was a perfect setting for the buffet reception and they danced under the stars! Congratulations Lindsay and A.J.!

Kristine Meares' Senior Portraits

I had a great time taking senior portraits of Kristine Meares last Friday. We first spent some time in Old Town and, then ended up in the sunflower fields out by Andover. Shoes are my thing and Kristine is right there with me! She had some adorable shoes and great clothes! Her natural beauty and sweet smile made every shot a winner. We had time to stop just for a bit at the old bridge near Wilson Estates before arriving at the sunflowers just in time for perfect sunlight on her hair. Congratulations Kristine!

Lindsey Cooper and Tim Bledsoe's Wedding Day

Lindsey Cooper and Tim Bledsoe had a beautiful wedding day on September 18th! The weather was perfect, and every last detail was stunningly beautiful. Speaking of stunning, Lindsey took Tim's breath away as they spent some special private moments together before the day began. The theme was lots of bling, and it adorned everything from her shoes, to bouquet, bracelet, earrings, and all of the decorations. After the ceremony at Eastminster Presbyterian, the couple rode in a vintage Cadillac to Wichita Country Club where they strolled along the golf course grounds at sunset, and were joined by the wedding party for some fun group photos. As Lindsey and Tim made their grand entrance at the reception, applause led them right into their first dance. After a lovely plated dinner, the festivities continued with cake cutting, toasts, more special dances, and then everyone joined in to boogie on the dance floor to the Karen Davis Project Band from Kansas City. Congratulations Lindsey and Tim!

Savannah Ellis' Senior Portraits

Yesterday I got together with Savannah and her mom down in Old Town. It was pretty windy but we decided to go ahead with the shoot which worked out perfectly! We worked the wind in our favor, and the lighting was really nice. Savannah had some cute clothes. My favorite was the leopard print sweater but I loved the shots we took in her little red dress in the sunflower fields. Lots of fun, and lots of great pictures!

Olivia Heap and Alex Winkfield's Engagement

Olivia and Alex were so much fun to photograph last weekend! We went to the Creekside area of Gahanna which had it all! Paddle boats, walking paths, ice cream, and the restaurant where they were engaged! I can't wait for their December 11th wedding and from looking at these two, I doubt they can either! Congratulations!

Megan and Daniel Gibbons' Wedding Day

Megan Syring and Daniel Gibbons were married on August 28, 2010 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Salina. The bridesmaids wore pale buttercup yellow gowns and beautiful calla lillies were everywhere! I loved the church stained glass windows and elegance. It was the perfect setting for this sweet couple to seal their vows. After the disappointment of the limousine from Wichita being a no-show, they piled into private cars to head to historic downtown Salina for some fun pictures before arriving at the Salina Country Club for an elegant dinner/dance reception. Lots of laughter and tears accompanied the toasts and guests danced into the night.

Emily and Damian Cox's Wedding Day

Emily and Damian were married in a beautiful ceremony on June 4th with Father Dan at St. Vincent DePaul in Andover. Emily's little sister was precious as the flower girl, and the bridesmaids gowns and flowers were so beautiful. We enjoyed slipping away to the Andover Park for a few portraits outside, then on to the evening's festivities at the Ville. Congratulations to Emily and Damian and a special thanks for allowing me to photograph you day.

Sarah and Jeff Gries' Wedding Day

Sarah and Jeff's wedding was spectacular! On June 5, 2010, the weather was beautiful and love and PINK were in the air! Sarah was a breath-takingly beautiful bride and Jeff couldn't have been more proud and a bit overwhelmed with her beauty as she walked down the aisle.
The ceremony took place at First Evangelical Free Church, followed by a visit to the Andover Park before settling for the evening at The Ville for the reception and dance. The day of fun, laughter, emotion, and love will be a treasured memory for all who were fortunate enough to take part - forever. Congratulations Sarah and Jeff!

Abby and and Garett Henson's Wedding Day

Abby and Garett were so much fun to work with. Their July 24, 2010 wedding day was a typical hot Wichita summer day, but after the ceremony at Calvary UMC, the clouds rolled in and we barely made it to Bradley Fair for post-wedding pictures before a downpour. The reception took place at So Nu Events venue and featured a multi-teired "cake" made of cupcakes! Dinner was a custom prepared pasta dish for each guest. Toasts, laughter and dancing lasted well into the evening. Congratulations for the happy couple!

Aubrie and Trever Lockamy's Wedding Day

Aubrie Schwemmer and Trever Lockamy were married July 10, 2010 and I was fortunate enough to document the day's events. Aubrie was absolutely stunning in her gown, and together with Trever they are a gorgeous couple! The ceremony was in her hometown of Augusta at the Methodist Church. After the ceremony, the party kicked into high gear with a fun ride on the party bus to a park in Andover for group pictures and some elegant portraits of the couple. We continued on to Crestview Country Club for the awesome buffet, reception and dance. A great evening of fun and celebration of this great couple's marriage. Congratulations to both of you and thank you!

Anisha and Brad Fouse's Wedding Day

I was lucky enough this past weekend to photograph the beautiful wedding of Anisha Shephard and Brad Fouse at Grace Presbyterian Church. There were 4 precious flower girls - all neices of the bride & groom - that wore darling purple dresses and stole the show! After the ceremony, they all rode in a limo to Eastborough Park where we quickly took a few portraits there despite the high temperatures. A K-State tunnel of guests welcomed the wedding party at the Mariott reception with enthusiastic cheering, and Scott from Accent Mobile DJ keep the dinner and party going the rest of the evening. Congratulations Anisha and Brad!

Ethan Merck's Senior Portraits

I met Ethan down in Old Town with his mom, Teresa, and younger brother. We shot a few but I could tell that Ethan's main interest was to photograph his horse and truck. So, we drove to Andover Park and met his dad there with his beautiful horse. Then he got into comfortable work clothes to take photos with his work truck. Ethan, I enjoyed meeting you and photographing you!

Eric Wreath's Senior Portraits

Eric definately has a fondness for shoes! Athletic shoes, that is. He had close to 20 pair with him for his photo shoot. Many had never been worn! Anyway, it did make for a fun time with photos. He's a very nice polite young man and I enjoyed his mom Joann cheering him on to make the "tough guy" expressions as well as nice smiles to show what a nice guy he really is!

Kylie Millerborg's Senior Portraits

I had so much fun with Kylie and her mom Tiffany. I love Kylie's bright green shirt, and especially the cute rainboots and umbrella she brought! Her little black dress looked great in the studio with the zebra stool and red chair! There's lots of great shots! Thanks for choosing me to take your senior portraits Kylie!

Christina Lutz' Senior Portraits

Working with Christina was super! We started in the studio where she brought some great outfits and her fabulous prom gown. We then met her mom, Mersae, down in Old Town. More great outfits, and different hairstyle were all part of the session.
You're beautiful Christina!

Madison Oles' Senior Portraits

I met with Madison in Old Town and really loved capturing her beautiful features. The lighting was perfect that afternoon and we went to Riverside Park to photograph Madison on the playground because she loves kids and considers herself a kid at heart. Madison and her mom, Julie, made this session especially enjoyable.

Kelsey Banwart's Senior Portraits

I met with Kelsey and her mom Pat twice. The first day we had a studio session, then a few days later we went to Old Town and Naftzger Park. I loved the funky boots she wore with a couple of the outfits. Kelsey had great clothes and was lots of fun to work with.

Alyssa Bambick's Senior Portraits

The first day Alyssa and I met at Bradley Fair, it was quite windy and after a while, we decided to postpone the rest of the shoot for the next morning. We were fortunate to have a beautiful backyard setting of a friend of Alyssa's for our Saturday morning session. I'm looking forward to posting her entire session online tomorrow.

Leslie Yearout's Senior Portraits

Leslie came all the way from South Barber County for her senior portrait session. Once I started shooting, it didn't take me long to figure out that she had done alot of modeling. She is tall and slender and just has "the look" without having to do any prompting or posing. Thanks for your patience getting these edited and online Leslie!

Melissa Dickinson's Senior Portraits

Melissa came to our session with her mom and aunt. They also had her cute little dog, Max, so I thought we should include him in a few even though that wasn't originally planned. Melissa has lots of beautiful thick hair so the breeze that day wasn't a problem! At one point, we were in Naftzger park and she forgot a pair of shoes we had set aside. Two days later, I was there shooting another senior and I saw shoes sitting there neatly on the ledge. I thought they looked like Melissa's, so I took them home with me. I contacted her and sure enough, they were her shoes! What are the chances of them still being in that park? I guess there are alot of honest people in this world!

Sarah Hagan's Senior Portraits

Sarah's photo session was the most fun I've had this week! She and her mom Jane were a blast and I loved Sara's clothes and funky shoes! After spending a little time in the studio, we went downtown and hit several hot spots. Sarah's good friends Courtney and Shannon, met us at the park for a few fun shots at Wino Park. I had fun capturing their solid friendship! Thanks girls for a fun time!

Gabby Orth's Senior Portraits

Gabby and her mom came to the studio first with her two dogs. I mistook Gabby's mom Teresa to be Gabby's sister! We realized rather quickly that a photo session was much more than the dog's tolerance level so we decided to only subject them to it at the studio! Then we went downtown to finish the shoot. Gabby has beautiful hair and she was very easy to work with!

Samantha Long's Senior Portraits

We had to postpone Samantha's photos about 3 times due to the good ol' Kansas wind! Samantha and her mom Carol came all the way from St. John, Kansas for our shoot one day last week when the winds died down a little. Samantha had great clothes and is a very beautiful girl! She looks like Demi Moore a bit. Do you see it?

Drake Valle's Senior Portraits

Drake and I met in Old Town. His dad had just purchased the blue bug and decided to bring it down to shoot a few photos. After spending some time there, we finished the shoot by the old train tracks with Drake's paintball gear. Its fun to shoot something a little out of the ordinary! I had a good time.

Jared Hanson's Senior Portraits

You guessed it - Kristan and Jared are siblings and I photographed them both for senior portraits. Jared had a bright red '65 GTO and looked pretty cool with his sunglasses and leather jacket. He was very easy-going, and made my job easy.

Kristan Hanson's Senior Portraits

I enjoyed photographing Kristan because she is an artist too, with interests in photography and other types of art. I was impressed that one of her pieces was in a recent Final Friday in Old Town. Thanks Kristan for a fun session.

Ethan Eyster

I photographed Cinnamon and James' wedding in 2008 and last week I met their adorable little boy Ethan. He was less than excited about our first session so we decided to try a couple of days later. Turns out, he was cutting a tooth which explains him being a little irritable the first time. Our 2nd session went great and he is one happy baby!

Reese Patterson turns One!!

I was so excited to have the opportunity to photograph Reese for her one year old portraits! I first photographed her as a tiny baby in a basket with a big pink flower bow when she was just a few weeks old. She is a beautiful child with the most beautiful eyes! I hear big brother Owen has lost some of his excitement that he had when she was newborn, but hopefully I'll get to do some outdoor pictures of them together this summer!

Bailee Sparks Senior Portraits

Bailee and her mom were alot of fun to work with! I got a kick out of Bailee trying to walk in her dressy shoes! But then, when I saw how serious she was about softball, I realized she was right at home in her Nikes! I'm glad we made a stop at the graffiti wall east of Old Town which tied in perfectly with her bright green T.

Breanna Haden's Senior Portraits

I met with Breanna and her mom Kari on a recent Monday afternoon. We went all around Old Town, then to the studio. I had a fun time and found Breanna very easy to work with! Congratulations Breanna! You're just about to graduate!

Friday, March 19, 2010

Peter Jarren Hall turns One!!!

Arraya and Jay Hall brought Peter in for his 1 year portraits! I had the pleasure of photographing Peter at 6 months, and I couldn't believe how he'd grown. He just is such a little doll! The red car is going to be a tradition so we can watch him grown into it!

Merrick Stephan 2 weeks Old!

Andrea Stephan brought her precious new baby to the studio last week for a few "newborn" photos. Unfortunately her husband, Jason, was unable to come so we are planning another exciting session soon that will include the 3 of them together. Merrick is a strong little guy with so much expression for 2 weeks old! I can't wait to photograph my former bride & groom with their new bundle of joy!

Wow, I'm really excited about the flurry of bookings I have had this week for summer/fall weddings! I'm really excited about the couples I'm going to be working with! Also booking alot of senior portrait sessions for March & April for all of those seniors that didn't get their portraits done last summer or fall. I'm exploring new and different places to photograph my seniors!

Addison Pumphrey

I had the pleasure of photographing Addison this last weekend. She is a beautiful child and unbelievably smart! I think she will be a photographer someday! She was more curious about my camera and me taking the pictures than anything else. I also captured her little brother, Madden here and there when Addison was taking a little break. Those will be forthcoming. Unfortunately, taking any of them together was just not to be!
